Do you collect used stamps for charities or carrier bags for re-use, or take returned packaging; or do you belong to a group running a newspaper collection; or to an organisation that collects seemingly worthless goods, which are used in repairs or for a charity? Maybe your school or playgroup collects paper or boxes or scrap material? If so we want to hear from you!
Angie Dailey has produced a recycling directory for the Malmesbury Community Area. The directory gives information about which materials can be recycled and reused locally, along with details of where, and how. The directory covers the area of: Malmesbury, Malmesbury St Paul Without, Crudwell, Charlton, Hankerton, Lea, Brinkworth, Dauntsey, the Somerfords, Hullavington, Norton, Easton Grey, Sherston, Luckington, Sopworth, Brokenborough, Oaksey and Minety. This is a voluntary project but the production of the recycling directory is funded through the Millennium Commission and North Wiltshire District Council.
She would still love to hear from people or organisations that have recycling or re-use schemes in place and would like to be included in the directory. If you are not involved in a scheme, then perhaps there is a local recycling scheme you know of which might be relevant? Any help or information you can give would be appreciated. The more contacts that can be included in the directory the more successful local recycling schemes are likely to be.
Please fill free to contact her at home or on e-mail.
