Malmesbury Town Hall

Town Hall

This building dates from the middle of the 19th century and is used for a wide variety of community activities. Since 1974 it has been managed by North Wiltshire District Council. A report published in 2000 highlighted that a considerable amount of money needs to be spent on it to bring it in line with current Health and Safety and Disability Access legislation. This has prompted a review of its current usage and its place in the future life of the town. Proposals for its redevelopment have been put forward, which are based on work done by a group made up of people from the Town Council and the District Council .
